If the Schlagle Stallions were riding high off their 62-42 takedown of the Northeast Vikings last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Schlagle fell to Ruskin 69-64. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Thursday (62), Schlagle still had to take the loss.
Lorenzo Johnson and Ronnie Bush certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Johnson dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds, while Bush dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. The matchup was Bush's third in a row with at least ten points.
Schlagle now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Ruskin, their win bumped their record up to an identical 1-2.
Schlagle won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Wyandotte at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. Wyandotte comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Ruskin will be home for the holidays to greet East at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
