Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only American Fork walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Herriman Mustangs on Tuesday as they made off with a 54-33 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cavemen as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shawnee Asiata, who posted ten points and eight boards. That's the most points Asiata has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tylee Sundquist, who had six points and five steals.
American Fork's win bumped their record up to 5-18. As for Herriman, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-21.
American Fork didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-33 defeat against Copper Hills on the 20th. Herriman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
