The Bronaugh Wildcats will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Miami Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Bronaugh has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Even though Chilhowee scored an imposing 55 points on Friday, Bronaugh still came out on top. Bronaugh enjoyed a cozy 72-55 victory over the Indians.
Bronaugh's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tucker Duncan led the charge by scoring 38 points along with five steals. Duncan has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Strauss Banes, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Miami, who are still winless after their tenth game. They had to suffer through a rough 70-18 loss at the hands of Sheldon.
Bronaugh's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-10. As for Miami, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-10.
Everything came up roses for Bronaugh against the Eagles in their previous matchup back in November of 2023 as the team secured a 83-19 win. With Bronaugh ahead 48-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
