The North Ridgeville Rangers had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. They blew past Steele 62-39. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-16.
It was another big night for Grace Kingery, who dropped a double-double on 36 points and ten rebounds. Kingery is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Madeline Eldridge, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and two blocks.
North Ridgeville's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points per game. As for Steele, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.
North Ridgeville will head out on the road to square off against Olmsted Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Steele, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Midview at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Midview is ranked 211th, while Steele is ranked 190th).
