In what's become a running theme this season, the Bishop Kenny Crusaders gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 74-31 victory over Buchholz at home. Winning may never get old, but Bishop Kenny sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Bishop Kenny's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Riley Talbert, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Mayer, who scored eight points along with eight assists and three steals.
Despite the loss, Buchholz still got an impressive performance from Jamison Cardwell, who scored 23 points.
Bishop Kenny pushed their record up to 16-3 with that victory, which was their 21st straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.1 points per game. As for Buchholz, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.
Bishop Kenny will take on San Jose Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Buchholz, they will head out on the road to face off against Hawthorne at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hawthorne focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Monday.
