Lapwai extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-4. They lost 21-2 to the Clearwater Valley Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-4 back in March.
Lapwai saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Terance Greene, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Tayvyn KickingWoman also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
As for Clearwater Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4. That looming 21-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.
On Clearwater Valley's side, Harvey Wellard was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Wellard was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Barak Meyer, who went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Kale Walle, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI.
