Creekside has gone 9-1 against Atlantic Coast recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Creekside Knights will venture away from home to face off against the Atlantic Coast Stingrays at 6:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Creekside sitting on three straight victories and Atlantic Coast on five.
Last Thursday, Creekside was able to grind out a solid win over Nease, taking the game 5-1.
Arianna Carrigan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits.
On the hitting side, Hailey Cunningham was excellent, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Presley Brinkley, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one double.
Meanwhile, Atlantic Coast has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.33 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They walked away with a 15-11 victory over Baldwin. The Stingrays' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Lily Maguire made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Maguire was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Stella Lynton, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Skye Deans was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Creekside pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Atlantic Coast, their record is now 5-1.
Creekside skirted past Atlantic Coast 2-0 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will Creekside repeat their success, or does Atlantic Coast have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
