The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. Raytown South will challenge Van Horn on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Things haven't been easy for Raytown South, and their match last Friday only extended their streak of losses to seven. They took a serious blow against Grain Valley, falling 12-48.
Meanwhile, Van Horn came into their this week averaging 39.13 points per game, but Van Horn fell well short of that average, and it cost them. They were dealt a punishing 7-44 loss at the hands of Pembroke Hill. That makes it the first time this season Van Horn have let down their home crowd.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the win. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
