The Oak Ridge Trojans will square off against the Del Oro Golden Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Oak Ridge sitting on three straight victories and Del Oro on 17.
Oak Ridge is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over Tracy. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trojans have posted since March 24th.

Ellison Schroeder spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Emery Glaser was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Paratore, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Del Oro never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Sheldon with a sharp 12-0 win. The Golden Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 matches by six runs or more this season.
Del Oro also got a great performance from Mikayla Finn as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Delaney Osborne, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kate Brown 2026, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.
Del Oro hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive games.
Oak Ridge pushed their record up to 23-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Del Oro, their record is now 28-1.
Saturday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Oak Ridge hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .322. However, it's not like Del Oro struggles in that department as they've averaged .424. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Oak Ridge couldn't quite finish off Del Oro in their previous matchup back in April and fell 4-2. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
