Nettleton came into Tuesday's contest having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Marion Patriots 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders have posted since April 17, 2024.

Nettleton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddox Hampton, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Hampton has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Jerrymiah Hudgens also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Nettleton's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-10. As for Marion, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
