It was a good run, but the Bristow Pirates unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 65-38 loss at the hands of Mannford. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bristow in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now lost four in a row.
Bristow's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addi Alexander, who scored 19 points along with four steals. Alexander hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. Ava Yocham was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Bristow struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Bristow's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5. As for Mannford, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 16-2.
Bristow will head out on the road to face off against the Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Berryhill will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 278th, while the Pirates are ranked 96th). As for Mannford, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m.
