The Diller-Odell Griffin had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against Exeter-Milligan/Friend by a score of 54-46. That's another feather in the cap for Diller-Odell, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Myleigh Weers, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten steals. That makes it ten consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Diller-Odell's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Baileigh Vilda, who scored four points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kiley Oldehoeft, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Malorie Staskal, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Diller-Odell's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Exeter-Milligan/Friend, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.
Diller-Odell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Exeter-Milligan/Friend, they will take on Deshler at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Deshler's defense has only allowed 30 points per game this season, so Exeter-Milligan/Friend's offense will have their work cut out for them.
