Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Northview

Northview hadn't done well against West Florida recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Chiefs were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Jaguars. The result was nothing new for the Chiefs, who have now won nine matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Mikayla McAnally spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Addysen Bolen was incredible, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Avery Stuckey also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Northview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .484. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Northview, bringing their record up to 15-5. As for West Florida, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Northview will challenge rival Jay at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, West Florida is set to take on their familiar foe Choctawhatchee at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
