Even though the Lincoln High Links scored an imposing 61 points on Thursday, the Creighton Prep Junior Jays still came out on top. Creighton Prep put the hurt on Lincoln High with a sharp 86-61 win.
Trinell Parker had a dynamite game for Creighton Prep, scoring 27 points along with 8 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Dillon Claussen, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Lincoln High lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aj Graham. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 32 points and 1 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Nick, who scored 9 points along with 5 assists.
Creighton Prep's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Lincoln High, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Creighton Prep will take on Papillion-LaVista at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Papillion-LaVista focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday. As for Lincoln High, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Fremont at 2:00 p.m.
