Despite the defeat, Rosemead saw an underclassman step up: Rhys Anderson scored 23 points. That was a full 56.1% of Rosemead's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Andrew Mojica, who scored nine points.
Arroyo has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season. As for Rosemead, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arroyo will take on Marshall at 6:31 p.m. on Friday. As for Rosemead, they will be playing in front of their home fans against El Monte at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. El Monte is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
