Riverdale Baptist had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt DC International on Monday. The Crusaders put the hurt on the Dragons with a sharp 9-2 victory. That looming 9-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Crusaders yet this season.

DIXON MONK was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. He has been hot, having also posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. EVAN SHERARD also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Riverdale Baptist has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for DC International, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 13-7 record.

Coming up, Riverdale Baptist will welcome Southern Maryland Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Crusaders surely won't give up without a fight. As for DC International, they will head out on the road to challenge Maret at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
