Horseshoe Bend was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fifth in 2A Region 5. The Generals vanquished Thorsby 42-36 earlier in the week.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Lanett beat Notasulga 47-6. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
