Melba is 9-1 against Marsing since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Melba Mustangs will be staying on the road to face off against the Marsing Huskies at 3:00 p.m. on January 27th. Hopefully Melba is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Marsing in Idaho (Melba is ranked 28th, while Marsing is ranked 88th).
Melba pushed their score all the way to 73 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 74-73 to The Ambrose School. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Monday (72), Melba still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Marsing had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 57-38 win over North Star on Wednesday. The win was just what Marsing needed coming off of a 53-31 defeat in their prior matchup.

Melba was able to grind out a solid victory over Marsing when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 50-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Melba since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
