Union is on a 17-game streak of home losses, Hobbton a seven-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Union Spartans will take on the Hobbton Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Union suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2023 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by North Duplin on the road and fell 83-38. Union has not had much luck with North Duplin recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Meanwhile, Hobbton scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Lakewood by a score of 68-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Union's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Hobbton, their victory bumped their record up to 3-12.
Union suffered a grim 69-44 defeat to Hobbton in their previous meeting back in February of 2023.
