Arianna Preston was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off eight hits. Preston was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-5.
In other batting news, Beachwood got a massive performance out of Lily Grover, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and a triple. Another player making a difference was Ela Sasmaz, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs.
Brush's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Beachwood, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
