Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eno River Academy). They breezed by the Henderson Collegiate Pride to the tune of 52-16 on Friday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-9.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eno River Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Leiden Schofield, who went 8 for 11 on her way to 16 points in addition to five assists and five boards. Those 16 points gave Schofield a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Seno Chan, who made all 5 shots she took to post 10 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Schofield wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Eno River Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Eno River Academy's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7. As for Henderson Collegiate, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
