With a playoff game on the line, the Clarksdale Wildcats rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past Cleveland Central, posting a 41-6 win at home. Winning may never get old, but Clarksdale sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Clarksdale pushed their record up to 8-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.3 points per game. As for Cleveland Central, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.
Clarksdale will face off against Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lafayette will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Cleveland Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
