The Christian Life Eagles gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They came out on top against Durand by a score of 57-44. That's another feather in the cap for Christian Life, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Durand's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Aurora Hilton, who scored 8 points along with 10 rebounds and 4 steals. Hilton is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Reagan McCallips, who scored 13 points.
Christian Life's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Durand, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Christian Life will be playing at home against Hiawatha at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Durand, they will face off against Woodlands Academy at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Woodlands Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Monday.
