Manson won the last time they faced Oroville, and things went their way on Friday, too. Manson captured a comfortable 38-18 victory over Oroville. The success made it back-to-back wins for Manson.
Manson's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 24 points in the first half. Oroville came up with 12 to make it 24-12 heading into the break. The other side of the ball was dominant for Manson in the second half, holding Oroville to a measly 6 points.
No one put up better numbers for Manson than senior Avery Thompson, who brought his A game into the match. He punched in 3 rushing TDs and accumulated 159 passing yards. Sophomore Caden Beazley also helped out with an impressive 109 receiving yards in the win. The victory bumped Manson's record up to 2-0. The loss dropped Oroville back to even at 1-1.
Manson will stay at home next week against Liberty Christian at 7:00 PM. Oroville will be staying on the road, facing off against Soap Lake. With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the victory.
