After flying high against the Reading Rangers last Friday, the Quincy Orioles came back down to earth. Quincy fell 53-41 to Climax-Scotts on Tuesday. Quincy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Climax-Scotts apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2016.
Quincy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Kempter, who scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Carter, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Quincy now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Climax-Scotts, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11.
Quincy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-47 loss vs. Maple Valley on the 9th. Climax-Scotts has also already played their next match, a 43-36 defeat against Colon on the 9th.
