The Chickasaw Chieftains's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They fell 52-40 to St. Luke's Episcopal. That's two games in a row now that Chickasaw has lost by exactly 12 points.
St. Luke's Episcopal's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kalaysia Robinson led the charge by scoring 20 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Robinson has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times she's played. Logan Stephenson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with four blocks and three steals.
Chickasaw dropped their record down to 2-13 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for St. Luke's Episcopal, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-7.
Chickasaw will be playing in front of their home fans against Clarke County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Luke's Episcopal, they will head out on the road to square off against Washington County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
