The FAITH HomeSchool Falcons fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Kokomo HomeSchool Eagles on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 41-38. FAITH HomeSchool was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kokomo HomeSchool apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Kokomo HomeSchool got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Megan Hufford out in front who scored 4 points along with 15 rebounds and 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Emely Linares, who scored 10 points.
FAITH HomeSchool still hasn't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.7 points per game. As for Kokomo HomeSchool, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
FAITH HomeSchool will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on CHASE at 7:00 p.m. on December 22nd. As for Kokomo HomeSchool, they will head out on the road to face off against Mooresville Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mooresville Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
