The Missouri Military Academy Fighting Colonels's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their tenth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 74-29 loss at the hands of Canton. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Missouri Military Academy has scored all season.
Canton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Preston Brewer, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Cox, who scored 12 points along with five assists.
Missouri Military Academy's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Canton, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5.
Missouri Military Academy will head out on the road to square off against Sunnydale Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Sunnydale Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Missouri Military Academy in Missouri (Sunnydale Academy is ranked 271st, while Missouri Military Academy is ranked 565th). As for Canton, they will take on Atlanta at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Atlanta knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Canton likes a good challenge.
