The Camden Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Westside Rams at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Camden will be strutting in after a win while Westside will be coming in after a defeat.
Camden took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Dreher by a score of 8-3.
Maddie Stokes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Haydin Williams was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Brylee Watkins also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Camden hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Westside couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 8-4 to the Fury on Thursday. The Rams' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Amelia Wilson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Starlyn Clardy was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.
Camden is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Westside, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.
Saturday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Camden hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .340. However, it's not like Westside struggles in that department as they've averaged .444. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
