Baseball Recap: Boise Beats Timberline for Their Third Straight Win

Boise hadn't done well against Timberline recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Boise narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Timberline 6-5. The win was familiar territory for the Brave, who have now won three games in a row.

The team relied heavily on Brody Schmidt, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and five RBI. Those RBI were his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sascha Stoll, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Boise's record now sits at 6-2. As for Timberline, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home.

Boise and Timberline will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Boise is set to face off against their familiar foe Borah at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Timberline will challenge rival Capital at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
