The Stansbury Stallions's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Murray Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st. Stansbury will be strutting in after a win while the Spartans will be coming in after a loss.
Last Monday, Stansbury got the win against the Miners by a conclusive 48-26.
Stansbury's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Apisi Maile, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Maile has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brooke Jensen, who scored nine points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Murray ended up a good deal behind the Colts on Tuesday and lost 50-32. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Murray has scored all season.
Stansbury's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-12. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Murray, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.
Stansbury suffered a grim 59-37 defeat to the Spartans when the teams last played back in January. Will Stansbury have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
