The Canisius Crusaders will head out to challenge the Hamburg Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Canisius barely beat St. Mary's the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Crusaders' pitcher stepped up to hand the Lancers a 7-0 shutout on Friday. The Crusaders' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
The result came thanks to Josh Kandefer's shutout, as he gave up just five hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Canisius got a massive performance out of David Barczak, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three RBI gave Barczak a new career-high. Joshua Monti also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Canisius was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Mary's only posted a batting average of .115.
Meanwhile, Hamburg entered their tilt with Amherst Central on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Tigers 9-2.
Jacob Jaworski looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, Jonah Moscato was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Gladke, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run.
Hamburg pushed their record up to 5-2-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Canisius, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.
