The Brockway Rovers lost against the DuBois Central Catholic Cardinals last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Brockway was outmatched by DuBois Central Catholic on the road and fell 61-25. Brockway has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Brockway saw an underclassman step up: Kolton Kahle scored eight points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for him.
Brockway's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for DuBois Central Catholic, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Brockway will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Elk County Catholic at 7:30 p.m. Elk County Catholic presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Brockway in Pennsylvania (Elk County Catholic is ranked 36th, while Brockway is ranked 707th). DuBois Central Catholic and St. Marys will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully St. Marys focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday.
