McQueen is 9-1 against Reno since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Lancers will head out to square off against the Huskies at 2:00 p.m. Reno took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on McQueen, who comes in off a win.
McQueen is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Reed, who was ranked second at the time (McQueen was ranked 14th). The Lancers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Raiders on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Violet Moyao made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Moyao was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in runs (two).
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Montana Huitt, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple was her first of the season.
McQueen hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in ten consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Reno was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They came up short against Reed, falling 14-2.
Amelia Weiss made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.
McQueen's record is now 16-13. As for Reno, their loss dropped their record down to 1-27-1.
Reno's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: McQueen hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .335. It's a different story for Reno, though, as they've only averaged .248. Will they be able to contain McQueen's hitters?
McQueen took their win against Reno in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 9-1 score. Do the Lancers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Huskies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
