The Potter-Dix Coyotes will head out on the road to take on the Prairie Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Potter-Dix is hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses.
While Potter-Dix couldn't quite beat Garden County on Tuesday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 54-point loss they were dealt last Friday. Potter-Dix fell just short of Garden County by a score of 42-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Potter-Dix has suffered yet this season.
The losing side was boosted by Madison Williamson, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds and three steals. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Even though they lost, Potter-Dix were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Garden County only posted two assists.
After soaring to a 22-point victory in their last game, Prairie came back down to earth on Saturday. They fell just short of Fleming by a score of 37-35. It was the first time this season that Prairie let down their fans at home.
Potter-Dix's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Prairie, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3.
Potter-Dix and Prairie were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, but Potter-Dix came up empty-handed after a 32-31 loss. Can Potter-Dix avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
