Ponca is 0-3 against O'Neill since September of 2024 but things could change on Monday. The Indians will face off against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. The match will give Ponca their first taste of in-conference action this season.
On Thursday, Ponca came up short against Tri County Northeast and fell 3-1.
Ponca was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Tri County Northeast work for it, especially in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 17-25, 25-21, 28-26.

Oliva Taylor put forth a good effort for the losing side as she had ten digs and three assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.
Meanwhile, O'Neill came up short against Norfolk Catholic on Thursday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost seven in a row.
While O'Neill was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-23, 25-15.
O'Neill's loss dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Ponca, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 12-15.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Monday's matchup: Ponca has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 4.7 aces per game. However, it's not like O'Neill struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.6 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Ponca couldn't quite get it done against O'Neill when the teams last played back in September as they fell 2-0. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
