Baseball Recap: Teague Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Teague had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Elkhart Elks by a score of 10-5. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Elks on April 1st, they had to take a 1-0 defeat.

Bo Bowers was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Kade Kormos was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Trip Egbert was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI.

Teague's record now sits at 15-7. As for Elkhart, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season.

As of now, neither Teague nor Elkhart have any future games scheduled.
