Southeast hasn't had much luck against Riverview Sarasota recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Seminoles are taking a road trip to square off against the Rams at 6:00 p.m. Southeast is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.
Southeast took a loss when they played away from home last Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They blew past Bayshore 18-3. The high-scoring effort was just what the Seminoles needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Kimberly Cordero was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alicia Martinez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Southeast was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .742. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Riverview Sarasota had just enough and edged out Charlotte 3-1 on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.
Allison Cole was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 18 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
Cole wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ella Trandem, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Southeast's win ended a 17-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-11. As for Riverview Sarasota, their record is now 18-4.
Riverview Sarasota's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Southeast has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .577. It's a different story for Riverview Sarasota, though, as they've only averaged .355. Will they be able to contain Southeast's hitters?
Southeast might still be hurting after the 17-0 defeat they got from Riverview Sarasota in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Seminoles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
