Kickapoo saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brylee Hagen, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask La Farge). Everything went their way against North Crawford on Thursday as they made off with a 16-1 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Adalyn Hansen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hansen was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, Chelsey Huebsch was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Riley Grefe, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
La Farge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .630. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
La Farge's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Kickapoo, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.
