The Woodland Wolfpack will be playing in front of their home fans against the Stockbridge Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
After a string of four wins, Woodland's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 49-41 to Parkview.
Despite their defeat, Woodland saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Akira Brown, who scored nine points along with two steals, was perhaps the best of all. Kennedy Riley was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with four steals.
Stockbridge suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Monday. They were beaten by Hebron Christian 82-36. While losing is never fun, Stockbridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while Hebron Christian is ranked second).
Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Stockbridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-6.
Woodland came up short against Stockbridge in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, falling 63-53. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Stockbridge's Carrington Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
