Oconomowoc has won five straight games at home, while Muskego has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Raccoons will welcome the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Oconomowoc 3.2, Muskego 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Oconomowoc and Kettle Moraine had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Raccoons narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Lasers 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Raccoons in their matchups with the Lasers: they've now won three in a row.
Kelsey Yambor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits.
On the hitting side, Macy Brazelton was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and one double. Finnley Bolson was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Muskego was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They fell just short of Arrowhead by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Warriors have suffered since May 30, 2024.
Muskego also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Kyleigh Sadler gave up just two earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. Sadler has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Reese Heinrich made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played.
With the loss, Muskego broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-5. As for Oconomowoc, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Oconomowoc has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.5 hits per game. However, it's not like Muskego struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance. Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
