The Poynette Pumas will head out on the road to  square off against  the Fall River Pirates  at 4:15  p.m.  on Monday. Poynette's hitters haven't  had much luck over their past six  contests, but Monday's   matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

 Meanwhile, Fall River came up short against  Markesan on Thursday, falling  14-1. The  defeat   continues a  trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost four in a row.
 Fall River suffered their first road  loss, dropping their record down to 5-3. As for Poynette, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
 Poynette skirted past Fall River  4-2 in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pumas since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
