Calvary Christian Academy were the 64-45 winner over the Chestertown Christian Academy Patriots when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Calvary Christian Academy was the victim of a rough 58-33 loss at the hands of Chestertown Christian Academy on Thursday. Calvary Christian Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Calvary Christian Academy players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyle Parks, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of JR Gillespie (HS), who scored seven points along with eight rebounds.
Chestertown Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman John Stoltzfus, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Brian Lloyd, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Calvary Christian Academy's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-6. As for Chestertown Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Calvary Christian Academy on the road again on Friday and play against Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on January 12th. As for Chestertown Christian Academy, they will challenge Faith Baptist School at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Faith Baptist School is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
