After flying high against Andrew on Wednesday, Homewood-Flossmoor came back down to earth. The Vikings received a blow on Saturday as they fell 65-49 to the Waubonsie Valley Warriors. The Vikings' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Waubonsie Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Taylnn Heard, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Heard a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Arianna Garcia, who almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine boards.

Homewood-Flossmoor's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Waubonsie Valley, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
