The Windsor Locks Raiders came tearing into Friday's match with four straight wins dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to Achievement First for the full four quarters, racking up a 81-28 victory at home.
Windsor Locks was led to victory by Kyle Hinckley and Sincere Monroe. Hinckley dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Monroe scored 28 points along with nine assists and seven steals. Another player making a difference was Jack Grasso, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Windsor Locks pushed their record up to 1-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Achievement First, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Windsor Locks will be home for the holidays to greet Rockville at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Rockville and Windsor Locks are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. As for Achievement First, they will head out on the road to face off against Classical Magnet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
