The Meadows School Mustangs waltzed into their match on Tuesday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They skirted past Sports Leadership & Management 57-54. That's another feather in the cap for The Meadows School, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
The Meadows School's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Williams Quinn, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Toby, who scored 17 points.
Several Bulls players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Noah Tomlin, who scored 14 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Tomlin is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Andre Cade, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
The Meadows School is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Sports Leadership & Management, their loss dropped their record down to 9-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Meadows School will take on the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nevada (Boulder City is ranked 20th, while the Mustangs are ranked 21st).
