The Leipsic Vikings will be playing at home against the Crestview Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Leipsic sitting on three straight victories and Crestview on four.
Last Saturday, everything went Leipsic's way against Elmwood as Leipsic made off with a 46-24 victory. Given Leipsic's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while Elmwood is ranked 347th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Crestview has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 22 points or more this season. They blew past St. Henry 62-37. 62 seems to be a good number for Crestview as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
It was another big night for Ellie Kline, who scored 17 points along with 7 assists and 6 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cali Gregory, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds.
The opposite results left the teams with opposite records: Leipsic's win pushed their record up to 3-0, while Elmwood's defeat dropped theirs down to 0-3.
Leipsic beat Crestview 44-36 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Does Leipsic have another victory up their sleeve, or will Crestview turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
