The Chicago Collegiate Lions kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 71-12 defeat at the hands of Chicago Tech. Chicago Collegiate has struggled against Chicago Tech recently, as their match on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Chicago Tech's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaylen Willard, who scored 21 points. Willard continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Harris, who scored 18 points.
Chicago Collegiate's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Chicago Tech, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.
Chicago Collegiate will head out on the road to face off against Legal Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Chicago Tech, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clemente at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Clemente comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
