Vasquez has won seven straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Desert Christian Academy has won seven straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Mustangs will square off against the Conquerors at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Vasquez is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 64-14 victory over Desert Chapel. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Zack Van Ornum
| 10/24/25 vs Desert Chapel | 116.3 |
| 10/17/25 vs Nuview Bridge | 97.4 |
| 10/02/25 @ Hamilton | 85.4 |
| 09/26/25 @ California Military Institute | 68.8 |
| 08/22/25 vs Beverly Hills | 62.5 |
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Vasquez to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zack Van Ornum, who rushed for 60 yards and one TD on only six carries, and also threw for 79 yards and three touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Van Ornum a new career-high in passer rating (116.3). Blake Mascon was another key back, rushing for 122 yards and one score while picking up 7.6 yards per carry.
Meanwhile, Desert Christian Academy got the win against Viewpoint on Friday by a conclusive 30-6.
Vasquez better keep an eye on Cashton Scott. He was instrumental in Desert Christian Academy's win, rushing for 145 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Scott also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble and making two total tackles. Another signal caller making a difference was Mario Gallo, who threw for 113 yards and one TD while completing 81.2% of his passes.
Desert Christian Academy didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Viewpoint to a completion percentage of just 45%. The Conquerors have been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.63 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.63 in their last three games.
Desert Christian Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Max Thompson. Desert Christian Academy got some further help from Mauro Pazos: he picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Vasquez's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Desert Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Vasquez has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 304.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Desert Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 190.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Vasquez came up short against Desert Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 21-14. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Scott, who rushed for 222 yards and three scores on only 15 carries. Now that the Mustangs know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
