Leading Gilbert Christian to victory were Lopemi. Omole and Keon Talgo. Omole dropped a double-double on 18 points and 21 rebounds, while Talgo scored 29 points along with five rebounds. Those 21 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamari Stanbury, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Gilbert Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for American Leadership Academy - Ironwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-5.
